Broke Actor is inspired by our own lives in the Film Industry as Australian Actors from Diverse Ethnic Backgrounds, and the many issues we've faced. We aim to bring humour to our pain, in an entertaining way - while shining a very important light on a subject that is far too often swept under the carpet in Australia.

Broke Actor was created on no budget. We used whatever we had available in our own pockets to pay as much of the crew as we could, any roles left we took on ourselves, and a large part of that was the Editing and Production Design.  It's never easy creating something out of nothing, but our motto since 2019 has been - it's better to create something without the means than to wait for a budget or an opportunity and create nothing.
